You are doing a fantastic job in pulling the mask off the tradwife image as it presents itself in the media that I genuinely despise (e.g. TikTok). Somehow, we, on a societal level, are beginning to lose the ability to see that there are shades of gray between prejudiced black-and-white images. That applies to many more subjects than gender roles, btw. It might be of interest to research the other side, too, the side of how men think and feel about the subject. I'm possibly not representative for the majority, so I can only give your a very personal take. I was brought up by a generation and in an age where traditional gender roles were still very much in place (I was born in 1957). My family was the university-educated upper-middle-class type. I grew up with the ethics of a man having to provide for his family while respecting his wife as an absolute equal in every aspect. Whether she worked or not wasn't an issue. Some women in our family worked, some didn't. I'd love to think that this neutrality to the media-fed dichotomy of tradwife vs. non-tradwife still represents (hopefully) most of my gender peers.

As far as my wife is concerned, firecracker doesn't even begin to describe her. Force of nature would be far more appropriate. Remember the opening scene of Terminator 1? Where, all of a sudden there is all this disabling electricity in the air when Arnie makes his entry? That's how a room feels when my wife enters. Even to people who see her for the first time 😂. Still fascinates me.
