You added a nice wrinkle to the story, thanks for that question. No, if I wasn't a regular drinker, I wouldn't start. Not because the research somehow made allayed my fears of cancer (if there were any), but simply because after having been perfectly fine for so long without alcohol, there is no reason to start. In a perverted twist, health ministers seem to think that weed is somehow good, or at least less harmful than alcohol, so they legalize it (that's what happens here in Germany right now). I wouldn't touch that stuff. I hear from my son, that it has certain advantages ove alcohol. Lots of laughs while you are high, and no hangover after that. All that doesn't convince me. I love the culture of red wine, I know how to use it without getting a hangover, and the laughs are equally good.
