Yes, generally speaking. The term "eating a lot" requires some differentiation, though. Quality of diet is probably of greater concern than quantity. A low-fat but starch-rich (fast carb) diet may have a more fattening effect on the liver than a diet at the opposite end of the fat-carb-balance continuum.
