Yeah, women are still somewhat neglected in research, particularly in cardiovascular disease research. I mentioned and wrote about this in one of my earlier articles. It's slowly changing though. Which is high time, becasue CVD manifests in different ways in women. So, with a male template in mind we look at a collapsing male and say "heart atttack" but "fainting" when it's a wpman. Also survival rates of women in the care of female cardiologists are better than in the care of male cardiologists. So, chose yours wisely, Dee.
