So, if your watch indicates episodes of AFib they need to be confirmed as AFib by a clinician before you can be sure that the watch indeed recognizes AFib correctly. HRV is a normal phenomenon, distinct from AFib. It has some value in predicting cardiac autonomic neuropathy or in assessing sports performance for example.
