That sounds exactly like my wife's profile. The elevated total Cholesterol runs in her family, her HDL is close to 100 mg/dL, and her cholesterol ratios are within the "green zone". She is extremely fit, and has maintained her BMI of 20 over the past 30 years. I'm monitoring her vascular function and age, to play safe, but she never took a statin either.. The key to it all is to maintain endothelial function. Regular moderate to vigorous physical activity will do the trick.
