I gather from your name, that you might have South Asian roots. South Asians tend to respond to higher-fat diets in a less favorable way than East Asians or Caucasians. That is, the blood cholesterol response might be something you want to observe. I had been living and working in Singapore for more than 15 years, where I also did research on the main ethnic groups there (Chinese, Malay, Indian). What we found was, that in South Asians the cardiovascular risks were higher at lower BMI and blood lipid values compared to the other ethnicities.
