Thanks, Kylie!! Every child needs an individual approach. You should find a way to make it enjoyable. Forcing or reprimanding her (your daughter) will achieve just the opposite. I can't tell you exactly what exercise to do, only how I would approach the subject. First, you ought to be a role model. Preaching water (exercise) and drinking wine (not exercising) will probably not work. If she sees that you enjoy exercise, and that this is what keeps your athletic good looks, then she might respond favourably to it.

Maybe there are some movies, in which a young female protagonist goes through strength training to gain leverage and overcome some challenging situations that make her a hero. Such movies might leave an impression.

Or engage Taylor Swift: if your daughter happens to be a fan, I just found an article that you might translate into 9-year-old language:

The woman seems to be quite the exerciser.

Another thought: can you bring your daughter with you to the gym? Maybe she finds the environment stimulating.
