Thanks, Greg, for sharing your observations. These are in line with trial evidence. High-intensity training, specifically HIIT, induces over-compensatory post-exercise reductions in systolic BP. "compensatory" because blood pressure rises together with workload during exercise. The size of reduction depends on the baseline pressure, that is, the effect is larger in hypertensive people than in normotensives. BTW, similar effects are obtainable with strength training.
