Thanks for your thoughts. Allow me to correct some misunderstandings. There is the so-called leaky gut syndrome, and then there is cholestasis. Both are independent and separate conditions. Cholestasis is simply a block in the drainage of bile acids from the liver or gall bladder, whereas "leaky gut" is not a well-defined condition. Everybody's intestinal tract is necessarily "leaky" as it must permit the transport of molecules from the digested food across the intestinal wall into the circulation. A higher degree of porosity, however, may allow the passage of larger molecules that aren't supposed to get through.
