Thanks for your kind appreciation, Nick. While I'm not an expert on the sleep behaviors of non-human primates, it appears that the great apes experience fragmented nighttime sleep. The degree of fragmentation seems to correlate inversely with the level of nest comfort (great apes build nests for the night). Alos aging increases the degree of sleep fragmentation, very similar to humans.
