Thanks for your kind appreciation, Charles. As you mention, the sellers always try to impress us with health claims made for their supplements. What is often overlooked is that you can do too much supplementation, too. That's a particular problem when the supplements come with contaminants that are outright deleterious. The so-called metallic pharmacology in Ayurvedic medicine is an eye-opening example. When mercury is used to "treat" whatever extract is used for medicinal purposes, it becomes highly suspect to me. But today's mantra seems to be that if it has been used for 3000 years or so, it must be good. The only problem: 3000 years ago the people didn't know a fraction of what we know today about biochemistry and metabolism
