One word to the PWV measurement: you suspect correctly that PWV measurements do not reflect microcirculation issues. It's predominantly a biomarker for arterial elasticity. I say 'preominatly' because, depending on the vascular path for which PWV is acquired, some other aspects may play a role, too.

Thanks also for bringing up the question about BHB supplementation. You are the second reader, to bring up this issue. I have tagged it for a future post, which I will now advance on the priority list. The reason why I hadn't considered it yet, is because the trials that investigated the effects of supplementation have produced conflicting results that are difficult to reconcile into a definitive recommendation. The purview of most of the studies is on athletic performance, a lot less exists on BHB supplementation in the T2DM scenario, and very little is out there with respect to cellular senescence.
