Thanks for sharing your experience, Valerie.

It goes to show that everybody reacts differently to the same dietary (or any other) intervention. That's why the trial-and-error approach to finding what works is so important.

One lady responding to this article, shared that while she followed the Mediterranean diet, all her vitals dramatically deteriorated. She had been put onstatins, but, after several years of suffering (including quite dramatical weight gain) she expeiemnted with a keto-type diet and intermittent fasting. After several months, all her biomarkers came back into "green territory", she lost her excess weight and feels dramatically better than before. She is probably an extreme example, but in principle you experience the same: once lifestyle habits are in sync with genetic predisposition, health is virtually granted.

Congratulations on your way of managing and maintaining your health.
