Thanks, Bob, for your kind appreciation and for sharing your thoughts. That's why interventional trials are so much more informative. Unfortunately, even those are not free of manipulation. Another big issue is selective reporting. Researchers often don't report trials with a null result. That has two consequences. We aren't being made aware of interventions that don't work, and meta-analyses which rely on aggregation of study results my become biased in their outcome.
