Thank you very much for your kind appreciation, Mark.

Your experience is something that is very close to my work interest: the individual experience. It trumps everything we read from, and into, studies that put groups of individuals under the microscope. And we will never be able to deduce from there what a given individual will experience. That's why I'm such a fan of individualized lifestyle medicine. That's why I look at every study participant, at every client, at every friend or acquaintance who is trusting enough to seek my advice, as an individual whose path to health is as individual as he or she is.

Your experience with your smart watch is what has helped you uncover and deal with AFib. And that's all that is important. Whether my or anyone else's take on the data of studies is right or wrong, is entirely unimportant. Your life and your path to health is all that matters.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Mark (and for giving me the opportunity to wax about my and my colleagues' fallibilities, which all reflect nothing but good intentions, and no perfectionism at all 😎
