The first reference makes the pragmatic observation: "Pesticides must be used on all crops including coffee. It is not a solution to avoid coffee." The coffeehabitat blog appears to be a sincere and well-balanced source. The references of the last one are valuable. One of those papers made the reassuring observation in Kenyan coffees that "the roasting process reduced up to 99.8 percent" of the pesticides contained in the untreated beans. That is not to diminish the problem of contamination., It would be great if you could write an article about the subject. I believe you'd attract many readers.
