Please accept my apologies for responding with some delay. Medium currently has some issues with the notification feature, which leads to quite some delays.

Yeah, I agree, the meat we eat is probably no comparison to what pre-industrialized agriculture produced. However, it is still better than no meat. At least for me. I have mentioned that in other blogs. I can't live without it. For a day, amybe, but latest by the third day, I get grumpy and irritable, and a voracious eater of anything, as nothing that is not meat can satiate me. I know quite a number of people who experience similar reactions to meat deprivation. Some of them are women, so it is not a man-issue.

Like you, I will not touch that synthetic stuff, even ff it becomes affordable. As long as there is a real cow, pig, or chicken alive on this planet, they won't be safe from me.
