Now, I'm happy to understand your point, and that you have a much more optimistic (and realistic) attitude to older age, than what your initial comment had suggested to me. I discussed it with my wife, and she wondered whether there is some sort depressive thoughts shining through, No, I'm happy to hear that were on the wrong track.

I fully agree with you that life extension per se is not worth anything if it doesn't come with health extension, too. Particularly dementia is the thing that I dread the most.
