My wife started to have some complaints when she was in her late 30s. She didn't want to see a gynecologist, I literally have to drag her to any doctor, which I did, because I hate to see her in any discomfort or pain. It turned out to be endometriosis. She was prescribed a 6-months uninterrupted course of birth control pill, so as to cut off her menstruation. This resolved her case of endometriosis. The relative simplicity of this cure was probably due to intervening at a very early stage. So, that's why such complaints should be taken serious.
