It's a great question, Charles. Is all fiber created equal?

No, because fiber comes in three different 'flavors': soluble, insoluble, and a third type called resistant starch. I have discussed these three types and their health effects in detail in an earlier post (https://medium.com/long-sweet-valuable/weight-loss-the-natural-ozempic-competitor-you-didnt-see-coming-7e9f3afea443).

As far as I can see, RxBar derives its fiber mainly from the natural sources dates, almonds, and cashews. The latter two have a good mix of soluble and insoluble fiber, whereas dates contain mainly insoluble fiber which adds bulk to stool and helps for regular bowle movements. TRUBAR adds tapioca and cassava into the mix, which is probably a source of mostly resistant starch that ferments nicely in the colon and produces some beneficial shoshort-chain fatty acids CFA). Both sources are health-promoting with slightly different benefits.
