I'm trying to practice Zen since more than 20 years now. I came to appreciate it after I had moved to SE-Asia 30 years ago. My wife is Chinese, and my first encounter was with the Taoist philosophy. It's a natural step from there to explore Zen.
The idea of no-self always resonates with me when I read Zen koans or an article like the one that you written. But once I'm back into daily life, the self is firmly there, too. I love reading about it, though, because your article, for example, works like reset button. At least for a short while.
