I take only two meals per day. One is the post-exercise smoothie in the morning, the second one is between 15:00 and 16:00, mostly protein (meat) with the occasional carbs (pasta, rice, rarely bread). As a snack in between I take fruits or evene a piece of cake. I don't count calories. Neither does my wife. I developed a method to acquire a 6th sense for calorie balance. This method eliminates the need for calorie counting and adhering to specific diets. I have been practising it for 15 years now, and my weight has remained stable within the ± 2 kilo fluctuations that are inevitable (at least for me) around the holidays.
