I certainly hope so. But it won't be a personalized evaluation in the form of a genome scan from which we then can read what is good and what isn't. We are light years away from that capability. Genome sequencing is not the issue, mind you. Reading it and interpreting it is the problem. Because the effects of individual gene polymorphisms on health outcomes are too weak individually to deliver meaningful information. What we need is biomarkers that tell us in real-time about the effects of that our lifestyle habits have on our biological age. That's what I'm working on.
